We are down to the wire for MA and CT code updates! We will be hosting 1 more in-person MA code update this Spring, and 1 CT Update prior to June 2022 (new legislation in CT required your Update to be done PRIOR to June every year) NFPA 70E will be held once more as well

Electrical Apprenticeship seeks 5th Year instructor for evening, 5:30-9:00 pm, September-May. Will be instructing apprentices in Codes And Practices, Building Automation, Photovoltaics And Other Classes. Foreman Experience Will Help but is not required.
Electrical Apprenticeship seeks 4th Year instructor for evening, 5:30-9:00 pm, September-May. Will be instructing apprentices in Motor control, Advanced Blueprints, Health care & Hazardous locations, and other classes.
Electrical Apprenticeship seeks 3rd Year instructor for evening, 5:30-9:00 pm, September-May. Will be instructing apprentices in Fire Alarm, Grounding and Bonding, Blueprints, Rigging and Hoisting, and other classes.
For all positions available:
Basic Computer Skills required to Navigate the Curriculum, Track Grades and attendance. You Will have to speak in front of large groups on a nightly basis.

Must be willing and able to attend training virtually and/or out of state yearly, $1/hr increase per year of training. 5 year cap.
The JATC is giving away all tables, chairs, and desks from the Good Will Training Center. Tables are black 8’x3′ with folding legs. Black plastic folding chairs. Orange plastic stacking chairs. Desks with and without double file draws. First come first serve, please email mleary@local7jatc.com for updated inventory and pick up time arrangements! Must be picked up before June 25th 2021! Available to all IBEW Local 7 Membership
With the last Virtual Information Session on 1-22-2021, we officially close the 2020-21 application cycle. We are EXCITED to have so many well qualified candidates interested in our Apprenticeship opportunities! If you attended an information session and did NOT receive an email with the next steps, please call Training Director Melissa Leary at (413) 737-2253 before February 12th, 2021.
For those who have missed the Virtual Information Sessions for the 2020-21 application cycle: We will be starting a new application cycle in Fall 2021! Please keep an eye on our website in late Summer 2021 for updates on our 2021-22 Application cycle! We look forward to the future opportunities to meet candidates.

There are 6 basic steps you must complete to get into the apprenticeship program.
Some of the basic requirements for becoming an apprentice are:
1. Minimum age 18
2. High School Education or GED
3. One Year of High School Algebra
4. Qualifying Score on an Aptitude Test
5. Drug Free
6. Drivers License
7. Resume
